Fire Doors
Fire doors are a critical element of passive fire protection — correctly installed and maintained, they provide the compartmentation that protects life and limits property damage. We survey, supply, install, and inspect fire doors across Essex, London, Hertfordshire, Kent and Suffolk.
In England, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire doors in efficient working order. Following the Building Safety Act 2022, residents of higher-risk buildings (HRBs) have the right to request information about fire doors in common areas, and regular inspection is now a legal expectation. Our inspectors hold third-party accreditation and audit every door against the guild of fire door requirements under BS 476-22 and BS EN 1634.
Complete Fire Door Services
Supply & Installation
We supply and install FD30 and FD60 fire doors from third-party certificated manufacturers, fitted with the correct ironmongery, intumescent seals, and cold smoke seals to specification.
Fire Door Surveys
A comprehensive survey of all fire doors across your building or estate — identifying non-compliant doors, missing certification, incorrect gap tolerances, damaged seals, and missing or inadequate hardware. Ideal for new building managers, post-acquisition due diligence, or where the status of existing doors is unknown.
Fire Door Inspections
Routine inspection of existing fire doors against current standards. We check gap tolerances, intumescent and smoke seals, self-closing devices, hinges, signage, and certification — producing a clear condition report and prioritised remedial schedule.
Ironmongery & Hardware
Correctly specified and certificated hinges, closers, latches, and intumescent products. We ensure every component maintains the integrity of the door set as tested.
Frame & Lining Assessment
The door set includes the frame as well as the leaf. We assess frames for damage, incorrectly sized rebates, and inadequate fixing — all of which can compromise the door's rated performance.
Remedial Works & Documentation
Following survey or inspection, we carry out any required remedial works — from seal replacement through to full door set replacement. Full documentation, including third-party product certification and inspection records, is provided after every visit.
